What is the limitation of AppCrypt for Windows‘s trial version?

The trial version allows you to use the full functions in 3 days.

I use the trial version and I forgot the password I set, what should I do?

The trial version will expire after 3 days, when it expires, you can restart your computer and then a window will pop up to ask you to activate or close the program, you can select to close the program without entering the password.

I want to add an app into the App Lock list, but how to find where the app is located?

Run the app that you want to lock, open Task Manager, find the target app, right click the app and choose "property", then it will show you the location of this app.

Can Cisdem AppCrypt launch automatically when I reboot my computer?

Yes, please go to the Main Window> Preferences of Cisdem AppCrypt, check the option 'Launch at system startup'.

Can I password protect files or folders?

No, AppCrypt for Windows is designed for Apps, thus it doesn’t work with folders or files.

Why AppCrypt for Windows doesn’t ask for password when I access to the password protected App?

There are several reasons may cause this issue.

1. Please click the padlock icon at the right lower task bar to check if the AppLock is enabled.

2. Please check the Schedule setting, the schedule is used to set the duration to lock the apps.

How can I block the websites still in InPrivate or Incognito window?

Please go to the Preferences window of Cisdem AppCrypt, check the option 'Disable Private browsing mode', then you will not be able to visit websites in Inprivate/Incognito windows.

How can I prohibit the extension from being removed or disabled?

Please go to the Preferences window of Cisdem AppCrypt, check the option 'Prohibit removing or disabling Cisdem Web Blocker'

Why can't I drag and drop the app into the lock list?

You can only drag and drop the .ext/.ink files into the lock list, also you can drag and drop the app's shortcut icon into the lock list.

How can I lock the apps that were downloaded from Microsoft Store?

Normally no shortcut icon will be created if you downloaded and installed the app from the Microsoft Store. You can go to the path C:Program FilesWindowsAppsMicrosoft.4297127D64EC6_1.3.7.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe to locate the exe file and add it into the lock list.

Why can’t I remove AppCrypt for Windows? It gives error when I try to uninstall it.

To uninstall Cisdem AppCrypt, you have to quit it first. Just click the Padlock icon on the task tray and choose Quit. After quitting Cisdem AppCrypt, you are able to uninstall it through Control Panel.

Note: Please do not trust websites claim that they can "remove Cisdem" as long as you pay for their service/app. If you have any questions, please contact Cisdem at support@cisdem.com.

It still blocks my computer after uninstalling from Control Panel, why?

If you directly uninstall AppCrypt from Control Panel without quitting it first, the uninstallation does not work. You can right click the AppCrypt icon on the task tray and choose Quit, and then delete the Cisdem AppCrypt folder under the path where you installed it.
