What is the limitation of AppCrypt for Mac‘s trial version?

The trial version allows you to use the full functions in 3 days.

I forgot my password, how can I reset it?

Please contact our support team at support@cisdem.com using the email address associated with your purchase, and include your order number to request a one-time used secret code.

After receiving the secret code, click Forget on the unlock window, copy-n-paste the secret code into the following window and click Reset. And then you will be able to create a new password.

Can Cisdem AppCrypt launch automatically when I reboot my computer?

Yes, please go to the Main Window> Preferences of Cisdem AppCrypt, check the option 'Launch at system startup'.

Will Cisdem AppCrypt block the websites still when you go into incognito mode?

Yes, Cisdem AppCrypt will block the websites you add into the WebBlock list regardless whether you enter the incognito mode or not.

Can I add websites to block without unlocking Cisdem AppCrypt?

Yes, just click the padlock(AppCrypt icon) on the top menu bar, choose 'Quickly add URLs to block', then you will be able to enter URLs into the following window to block.

I am using 12-hour clock and want to block apps/websites throughout the day, how do I set a schedule?

You can set a schedule from 12:00am to 11:59pm

Can I lock all the apps instead of some specific apps?

Yes, you can go to the main window of Cisdem AppCrypt, navigate to App Lock tab, slide on 'Switch to Allowlist', then Cisdem AppCrypt will lock all the apps instead of the apps in the App Lock list.

I want to block the apps/websites during the bedtime(for example from 23:00 to 05:00), how do I set a schedule for this?

For this situation, you have to set two schedules, one is from 23:00 to 23:59 and the other one is from 00:00 to 05:00

Can I password protect files or folders?

No, AppCrypt for Mac is designed for Apps, thus it doesn’t work with folders or files.

Why AppCrypt for Mac doesn’t ask for password when I access to the password protected App?

1. Please click the Padlock icon(Cisdem AppCrypt icon) on the top menu bar, then check if the App Lock is enabled.

2. Please check if you set schedules to lock the apps.

How to let my kids stay away from Adult websites?

1. Go to the main window of Cisdem AppCrypt, click WebBlock.

2. Click into Exceptions, navigate to Always Block section, and then import the adult websites into the list.

What’s Always Allow/Always Block?

The websites in the Always Allow list can be acceesed always, even if you add then into the blocklist.

The websites in the Always Block list will be blocked always regardless of the schedule settings or block status.

Can I schedule time to block websites?

Yes, you can choose to set a general schedule, which is working for all the blocked websites or set an individual schedule for a specific blocked website.

I added the websites to block, but why I can still access them?

1. Please confirm that you entered the correct domain name.

2. Cisdem AppCrypt currently supports the following 9 browsers: Chrome, Safari, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Opera GX, Ecosia, and Dia. If you are using one of these supported browsers, please check whether browser authorization is enabled. Open Cisdem AppCrypt's main window, then go to Menu > Browser Authorization to review and grant the required permissions.

3. Please go to the Schedule section, and make sure you've made a schedule on those blocked websites.

4. Click the Padlock icon at the top menu bar, make sure the WebBlock function is enabled.

Why can’t I remove AppCrypt for Mac? It gives error when I try to move it to Trash!

As you haven’t quit AppCrypt for Mac, it’s protecting your apps in the background. Click the key icon at the right end of menu bar, and then click Open Main Window. Click the menu button on the main window, and then select Exit in submenu. After quit AppCrypt for Mac, move it to Trash.
