Cisdem Video Player is a free video and audio player for Windows that supports a wide range of media formats, including HD and UHD videos up to 8K. You can play videos and audio files, manage playlists, add subtitles, select audio tracks, take screenshots, and use other playback features for free.

Video and audio conversion is an upgrade feature and requires a paid license.

This guide explains how to install and use Cisdem Video Player on Windows.

Get Started

Download & Install

1. Download the latest version of Cisdem Video Player from the official website.

Free Download

2. Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start the installation.

3. Choose an installation location.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

5. Launch Cisdem Video Player after installation.

Activate Cisdem Video Player

You can use the basic video and audio playback features for free. A paid license is required to use video and audio conversion.

To activate the full version:

1. Open Cisdem Video Player.

2. Choose Help > Activate Cisdem Video Player.

3. Enter your license code.

4. Click Activate.

 

Play Videos and Audio

Cisdem Video Player lets you play videos and audio files in a wide range of formats without requiring additional codec packs.

Add Videos or Audio Files

You can add individual media files or folders containing media files in several ways:

• Drag and drop videos, audio files, or folders into Cisdem Video Player.
• Choose File > Open from the menu bar.
• Click the Add button  in the playlist.
• Choose File > Recent Files to quickly access recently opened files.

Control Playback

After importing a media file, use the playback controls or keyboard shortcuts to control playback.

To maximize the player window without entering full-screen mode, double-click the title bar.

Manage the Playlist

Click the Playlist button  to open the playlist.

From the playlist, you can:

• Play a file: Double-click a video or audio file to start playback.
• Reorder files: Drag and drop files to change their order in the playlist.
• Remove a file: Click the × next to the file.
• Clear All files: Click the Trash button to Clear all files from the playlist.
• Change the play mode: Choose from Play in Order, Play in Loop, Play Single in Loop, or Play in Random.

Select an Audio Track

If a video contains multiple audio tracks:

1. Click the Audio button on the playback interface.
2. Choose the audio track you want to use.

Add or Remove Subtitles

Cisdem Video Player supports external .srt and .ass subtitle files.

1. Click the Subtitle button on the playback interface.
2. Enable No Subtitle or not.
3. To add an external subtitle, choose Choose Subtitles and select the subtitle file.

Rotate a Video

You can rotate the currently playing video without modifying the original file.

1. Choose Playback > Rotate from the menu bar.
2. Select the desired rotation angle.

Take Screenshots

Cisdem Video Player lets you capture screenshots while playing a video.

Capture a Screenshot

Click the Screenshot button  on the playback interface to capture the current video frame.

Find Saved Screenshots

Screenshots are saved in an automatically created folder.

Choose Playback > Show Snapshot in Explorer to quickly open the folder containing your screenshots.

Use Separate Mode

Separate Mode lets you place the video playback window, playlist, and control bar on different displays.

This is useful when you want to play a video on one screen while controlling playback from another.

1. Choose Window > Separate Mode.
2. Drag the video playback window, playlist, or control bar to the desired display.

Use Incognito Mode

Incognito Mode prevents changes made to the playlist from being remembered.

To turn on Incognito Mode:

1. Choose Playback from the menu bar.
2. Select Incognito Mode.

A check mark indicates that Incognito Mode is enabled.

While Incognito Mode is enabled, changes such as the following will not be saved:

• Adding or removing files
• Changing the playback mode
• Reordering files in the playlist

When you restart Cisdem Video Player, the playlist will return to its previous state.

 

Convert Videos and Audio

Video and audio conversion is an upgrade feature and requires a paid license.

With the paid version, you can convert videos and audio files to supported output formats.

Step 1 Add a Media File

Add a video or audio file by dragging or dropping or other methods.

Step 2 Open the Conversion Feature

1. Click the Convert button  on the playback interface, or choose Convert from the menu bar.
2. If you are using the free version, you will be prompted to upgrade to access the conversion feature.
3. After activating the full version, select the desired output format.

Step 3 Customize the Output

In the conversion window, you can adjust the available output settings, such as:

• Output filename
• Save location
• Output format
• Output resolution

You can also edit the available media information.

When your settings are ready, click Convert to start the conversion.

 

Update Cisdem Video Player

We recommend keeping Cisdem Video Player up to date to get the latest improvements and bug fixes.

Cisdem Video Player automatically checks for updates when you launch the application.

You can also check for updates manually:

1. Click Help in the menu bar.
2. Choose Version Checking....
3. Follow the on-screen instructions if an update is available.
