How to convert MP3 to MP4 with image in iMovie:

1. Launch iMovie. Create a new movie project.
2. Click on the “Import Media” and the Finder wizard will appear.
3. Select the MP3 audio and image. Click “Import All”.
4. Drag files into the timeline.
5. Drag the picture border to match the end of the audio.
   A picture is defaulted to 4s in iMovie, and a song is about 3-5 minutes. If the picture duration is shorter than the audio, the part without the picture will appear black. YouTube will accept videos with black screens, but they won't look pretty. Or you can add multiple pictures to the timeline.
6. Click on the share button in the top right corner and choose “File” or “Export File”.
7. Finish the settings. Click “Next”. Note: Do not set quality as “Best (ProRes)”, or the output format is MOV, not MP4.
8. Rename your video and choose a location.
9. Click “Save” to change MP3 file to MP4 on Mac with images.

 

On Windows 10/11:

Windows also has pre-installed video editing software that allows you to convert MP3 to MP4 and add image.

Microsoft Photos used to be able to edit videos, but since Microsoft acquired Clipchamp, its editing function was removed. Windows 10 and Windows 11 users can download Photos Legacy (old video editor) or Clipchamp in the settings of the Photos app.

 

How to convert MP3 to MP4 with picture in Photos Legacy:

1. Click on the search icon on the taskbar. Input photos and open them.
